SOUL DEVOURED "The Deathlight Corps" (Reviews auf garageband.com)
(1) A little black metal...
Although this song has obvious black metal touches in it, I actually like
some of it. I'm not a big fan of the blast beat, but you use it just enough
to not be annoying. I like the breakdown as well...shows you have a side other
than WHAHAAAAAAAA!!! blast beat... which I definitely respect. I also like
the riffs in this song as well. This is actually one of the first few songs
that I've reviewed, that actually makes me want to listen to more to hear
what you will do next. Well done! Extra Credit: Guitars,

(2) That is heavy!
The the band is very tight. The music is well performed. I think the guitarists
are good musicians, but what they are doing isn't very original. I've heard
this sound a little bit too much. Vocals are on keys sound good, but lyrics
are a little unclear. The overall sound of the band is good. Just looking
for something a little bit more original. Extra Credit: Drums,
Production
(3) Ah, yes, BRUTAL!!!
Finally, something with power. Guitars are off the friggin chain. Sick drumming.
Multiple vocal tones makes it even better. I couldn't be happier to have heard
something destructive today on this website. Hell, they even have a sick ass
interlude. Sick shit guys, keep up the good work.
(4) Vocals ruin this song!
I wish they had a special death metal section so I wouldn't have to listen
to this crap. I guess you guys do this as well as anyone I've heard. I hate
the high pitch screaming. The guitar interlude is kinda cool.
(5) Fast!
Gets you going, the vocals fit well with the beat.
(6) [VOX POPULI]
Cool...i love the slowdown...not us to that in metal like this...and...the
vocals on the slowdown is cool too...for the rest of the song..kick ass...kinda
sounds like Iron Maiden meets Cannibal Corpse...I'm listening to the track
on my little computer speakers...guitars sound great...and the overall sound
is good too...a damn good track. Special Award: Most Rocking
Track
(7) SIC AND BRUTAL
Nice tones...good melodies...I especially like the big bridge...well done
fellers! Extra Credit: Melody
(8) Cradle?
I don't know why every metal band I hear lately seems to try and sound like
Cradle of Filth, but you guys remind me of them too. If that is what you are
going for... great you guys did a good job while adding some of your own flavor
to bridges and transitional sections. The vocals are good in some sections,
but they just seem like they are missing something in the middle. A third
over dubbed voice with a range in between the other 2 would be KILLER!!! It
would make the VOX just as thick as the guitars and drums. The guitars sounded
very good for this song, nice mix of grind and harmonics, would most likely
sound insane live with all the sonic potential of a live show. I am gonna
get all your info for a relative of mine, he is a huge Cradle Fan and he would
go nuts for your stuff. Good production by the way, it seems like you guys
went the extra mile and spent a few bucks and got an engineer that knows their
you know what from a hole in the ground. Extra Credit: Production
(9) FUCK FUCK FUCK only
in my Dreams
Fuck I would love to have you all in Seattle to do shows at my Venues and

phenomonal and the Vocals is so intrigueing this band should not be on this
site they should be singed with a sound like this they shoul be every where

intense riffs and drum beats. NIK Extra Credit: Guitars,

(11) NICE!!!
Good vocals, supertight guitars!! Try to put some more reverb on your grim-vocals,
will probably make them more majestic and epic!! Get rid of that synthetic
drums!!!!, there are actually some talented drummers out there!! Otherwise
wellplayed metal!!!
(12) Apleasure to listen
to
This is my first time reviewing in the metal category, and you made it a pleasure!
Choir intro made me smile, it's awesome. The guitars have so much power. The
vocals remind me of a band from my hometown called Ghoul/The Lurking Corpses.
Well produced. Though this is metal, I'd still like to hear a chorus that
stands out a little more. But wow, I can't complain, you guys are awesome
at your instruments. This song has very cool parts. I'll have to review this
category more often! Extra Credit: Male Vocals, Guitars,

(13) Classic death metal
Vocals are ok guitars are good. Love the break with the acoustic guitar. Vocals
are good there reminds me of Type O Negative. Overall - good

(20) Wickedly haunting
eerie intro
Great keyboard intro. Very eerie and haunting. Great f**king guitar riffs.
Very At-the-Gates/Haunted feel. I like the twin vocals overlay. Fast pace
guitars with tight basslines and great riffs. The vocals have a pretty limited
range though. The growlings can be abit more dynamic in range. The sound is
very Haunted/Swedish metal feel! Great guitar musicianship. I like the melodies
alot. Great drumming. The melodic chorus is a bit draggy towards the end.
The thing that really draws me in is the guitars. Great solos and scales!
Great rocking effort. Lots of potential. This band is comparable to all those
signed metal bands outta there! Extra Credit: Guitars, Production,
Melody, Beat Special Award: Most Rocking Track
(21) Delicious
